On April 6, 2022, Burkina Faso’s ex-President Blaise Compaorรฉ was tried, convicted and sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment for murder. It  took 35 years for justice to catch up with him for murdering his revolutionary socialist predecessor, Thomas Sankara (the “Che Guevara of Africa”), in a 1987 right-wing military coup.  How  long will justice take to catch up with the CIA and its French intelligence counterpart, the Direction gรฉnรฉrale de la sรฉcuritรฉ extรฉrieure (DGSE), for what appears to have been their part in masterminding or enabling the plot that overthrew and killed Sankara? Ainabkoi Member of Parliament William Chepkut Kamuren has amused the public when he  promised to buy T-shirts to some ladies in his constituency after being criticized for putting on a T-shirt which appeared to resemble ladies' blouse.

While at an event in Ainabkoi constituency on Sunday, Chepkut expressed concern with complaints and ridicules from members of the public after pictures of him putting on a T-shirt which looked like ladies' blouse did rounds on social media, particularly Facebook.

The controversial MP argued that he neither harmed, abused nor distract anyone with his public relations stunts, which included putting clothes of his choice.

"I have neither harmed, abused nor trampled on anybody's farm produce," said Chepkut in Kalenjin dialect.

He further noted that he had not stumbled on anybody's farm when he decided to take his showoffs to another level.

According to him, the public should stop bothering about his moves and mind their own businesses.

He pledged to purchase blouses to all ladies who had attended the event because in his observation, the T-shirt he had donned, leading to him being criticized was unisex.

"To all ladies here.....I will buy a T-shirt of that kind to each one of you because it can be worn by both men and women," he said.

The first time lawmaker became the talk of the public recently, after engaging in funny stunts whenever he appeared for public events.

On a number of occasions, he was seen kneeling down with zeal while being prayed for by some clergy.

In other instances, pictures of him sitting amidst a crowd of women appeared on social media.

The latest of his stunts involved the aforementioned subject on controversial T-shirt, which elicited mixed reactions amongst members of the public.
