How CIA, French Intelligence Agency Conspired to Assassinate Thomas Sankara

On April 6, 2022, Burkina Faso’s ex-President Blaise Compaorรฉ was tried, convicted and sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment for murder. It  took 35 years for justice to catch up with him for murdering his revolutionary socialist predecessor, Thomas Sankara (the “Che Guevara of Africa”), in a 1987 right-wing military coup.  How  long will justice take to catch up with the CIA and its French intelligence counterpart, the Direction gรฉnรฉrale de la sรฉcuritรฉ extรฉrieure (DGSE), for what appears to have been their part in masterminding or enabling the plot that overthrew and killed Sankara? Education Cs George Magoha's career at Jogoo House is at risk after fresh details emerged following his recent insults to the Uasin Gishu Director of Education, Gitonga Mbaka.

Days after the public service commission stripped him off his human resource powers over the abusive statement, his predicaments have taken a new twist after top profiled senators want the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission to take action against the first time cabinet secretary using the Public Officer Ethics Act.

According to one of the local daily newspapers the Lawmakers led by Senate Majority leader Samuel Poghisio, Narok Senator Ledama Olekina, Nominated Senator Naomi Shiyonga, her counterpart Gertrude Mushuruve and Abshiro Halakhe also want President Uhuru Kenyatta to either suspend or sack the Cs.

CS George Magoha has however defended himself by noting that he was just delivering the mandate that he has been given by the appointing authority who he also noted will have the final word on him.

Mr Mbaka, the elderly public servant insulted, on the other hand has already forgiven the Cs saying he would wish to retire peacefully next year.

“I have forgiven the CS, and I am focused on serving the country as I prepare for my retirement in March 2021 after over 35 years of service in the Education Sector,” Mr Mbaka said
