How CIA, French Intelligence Agency Conspired to Assassinate Thomas Sankara

On April 6, 2022, Burkina Faso’s ex-President Blaise Compaorรฉ was tried, convicted and sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment for murder. It  took 35 years for justice to catch up with him for murdering his revolutionary socialist predecessor, Thomas Sankara (the “Che Guevara of Africa”), in a 1987 right-wing military coup.  How  long will justice take to catch up with the CIA and its French intelligence counterpart, the Direction gรฉnรฉrale de la sรฉcuritรฉ extรฉrieure (DGSE), for what appears to have been their part in masterminding or enabling the plot that overthrew and killed Sankara? As young military officers in Burkina Faso during the 1970s and 1980s, Thomas Sankara and Blaise Compaorรฉ were the best of friends. The two traveled the country playing in a musical band together and Sankara’s parents adopted Compaorรฉ as his parents had died when he was young. In 1983, Sankara and Compaorรฉ launched a coup against Burkina Faso’s military regime by Jean-Baptiste Ouรฉdraog...

Three Things That Will See William Ruto's Name Missing in 2022 Presidential Ballot Box

Constitutionally, every Kenyan (you inclusive that's) has inalienable right to vote or be voted for as long as s'he meets the set requirements. Hitherto, there are six elective posts namely; Presidential, Gubernatorial, Senatorial, Parliamentary, Women Representative and County Assembly Representative seat.

Every rising sun and sunset brings 2022 general elections closer. When the D-day finally comes, the presidential race is slated to attract a number of political bigwigs who will be wrestling to occupy that which is currently held by Jomo Kenyatta's son.

In the race to succeed Uhuru Kenyatta is his deputy William Ruto whose odds look probable and possible that's if he continues to  play his cards well. Though its his constitutional right to try his shot, its written nowhere that he MUST throw his hat into presidential ring come 2022.

Let it be known and be accepted that life rarely listens to our wishes. Factors may conspire to see that William's name is missing in the presidential ballot box. Below are some of the scenarios that may make the aforesaid plot practical.

Naturally, whatever that lives also dies, the former occurs through a sheer chance but the latter is mandatory rite of passage. Ethically, its immoral to think or devise a death of that lives. However, that is not a good reason to  assume that death is not a part of our lives.

Dead people don't run for elective positions but the living does. Of the first things that may see Ruto's name missing on the ballot is death.

It takes one's volition to run and whoever was or is being forced to run will register poor results. After years of activeness in politics, the son of Daniel ( for that is the name of William's biological father) may decide to let go off his political career and instead retrieve to a private life away from media glare and public limelight. There is life after politics and this can an option worth a flaunt.

Lastly, before IEBC gives your candidature a nod of approval, one must pass the integrity test and a failure leads to an automatic disqualification. For years now, Ruto's name has been floating around a number of corruption related scandals and should these claims be substantiated by court of law, then his presidential dream will be built on stilts.
