How CIA, French Intelligence Agency Conspired to Assassinate Thomas Sankara

On April 6, 2022, Burkina Faso’s ex-President Blaise Compaorรฉ was tried, convicted and sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment for murder. It  took 35 years for justice to catch up with him for murdering his revolutionary socialist predecessor, Thomas Sankara (the “Che Guevara of Africa”), in a 1987 right-wing military coup.  How  long will justice take to catch up with the CIA and its French intelligence counterpart, the Direction gรฉnรฉrale de la sรฉcuritรฉ extรฉrieure (DGSE), for what appears to have been their part in masterminding or enabling the plot that overthrew and killed Sankara? As young military officers in Burkina Faso during the 1970s and 1980s, Thomas Sankara and Blaise Compaorรฉ were the best of friends. The two traveled the country playing in a musical band together and Sankara’s parents adopted Compaorรฉ as his parents had died when he was young. Raila Gives Stern Warning to Rebel MPs

Former Prime minister Raila Odinga has dared rebel MPs operating within the energetic Kilifi county to resign and consider re-election through other parties.

He imparted that if the MPs attached to Kilifi had their loyalty for the ODM chipping, then they should resign and seek a pristine mandate from their preferred political parties.

"We should practice the politics of principles. When you have differed with your party, you resign and seek re-election using another party. That is what I did in 1997," stated Raila.

He dubbed the MPs move as an exercise of hypocrisy that tampers with the radiant glow of multi-party democracy.

Eyeballing party rebels as dangerously significant, the ODM leader called for the reinforcing of the Political Parties act that would, in turn, incorporate discipline into political parties.

Raila wondered why the legislatures who celebrated Ruto's victory haven't resigned from the party.

Several MPs in Kilifi who were elected on ODM tickets have graced Ruto's camp, ready to gobble in the alleged DP success.

The ODM leader recently toured Watamu to engage the newly-elected Dabaso Ward Rep Dickson Karani. In here, he also drummed support for the BBI.

"Here in Dabaso ward ODM had a convincing victory contrary to what happened in Msambweni, unfortunately, nobody is talking about this victory," he said.

The former PM criticized Kilifi leaders as opposed to the BBI and continued to call upon the residents to support the report as it's hinged on better governance.

Lands and Physical Planning CAS Gideon Mungรกro cautioned residents against leaders opposed to BBI, saying they feared the corruption clauses in the report.

“BBI is not being opposed because it is bad but those against it are opposing it because of the clauses that will deal with corrupt leaders and bar them from contesting political seats,” he said.
