How CIA, French Intelligence Agency Conspired to Assassinate Thomas Sankara

On April 6, 2022, Burkina Faso’s ex-President Blaise Compaorรฉ was tried, convicted and sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment for murder. It  took 35 years for justice to catch up with him for murdering his revolutionary socialist predecessor, Thomas Sankara (the “Che Guevara of Africa”), in a 1987 right-wing military coup.  How  long will justice take to catch up with the CIA and its French intelligence counterpart, the Direction gรฉnรฉrale de la sรฉcuritรฉ extรฉrieure (DGSE), for what appears to have been their part in masterminding or enabling the plot that overthrew and killed Sankara? As young military officers in Burkina Faso during the 1970s and 1980s, Thomas Sankara and Blaise Compaorรฉ were the best of friends. The two traveled the country playing in a musical band together and Sankara’s parents adopted Compaorรฉ as his parents had died when he was young. In 1983, Sankara and Compaorรฉ launched a coup against Burkina Faso’s military regime by Jean-Baptiste Ouรฉdraog...

10 People Who Helped DP Ruto to Stop BBI Train

Earth is hard, that’s true! Once in a while, life in its fairest way will find it worthy to trade you hard knocks, kicks, slaps and woe betide you should you buckle under pressure.

Christians have Isaiah 60:22; "When the time is right I the Lord will make it happen’’, Rastafarians have Bob Marley’s’ Get Up Stand Up’ with Jimmy Gait’s fans having the famous Kuteseka ni kwa muda mantra for inspiration.

In Kenya’s present political terrain, DP William Ruto is the most haunted, tried and marked politician. Every slight political move he makes is finely noted, analyzed and speculated about. His woes began immediately he discredited Raila Odinga’s dramatic infiltration into Jubilee Government’s bowels.

Despite of John Michuki once  warning Kenyans to desist from rattling snakes, Ruto and his close allies fired verbal missiles against UhuRaila, and as expected of a rattled snake, they were struck, fiercely and brutally, some were hounded out of key parliamentary positions with frustrations from government becoming a daily ordeal.

UhuRaila’s March 18, 2018 handshake birthed Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) which sought to resolve key issues currently bedeviling the country which includes; Corruption, insecurity, negative ethnicity, safety and security, devolution among others.

It’s alleged that Samoei was not privy to this developments and this irked him and that he had to do was to oppose the 2010 Constitution amendment bill. As a fence sitter, Ruto has remained elusive of his stance but the aptness in which he celebrated the BBI loss and the coded signals he has been sending undoubtedly says it all; he was anti-BBI. Memories are alive of him promising to stop ‘Reggae’ should the propagators fail to choose unity, discussions and inclusivity from division, discord and marginalization.

After years, months, weeks and days of suffering laced with ridicule, harassment and belittlement, the aforesaid prophecy of Isaiah has finally come to pass and anti-BBI marshals will verily testify that its true; Kuteseka ni kwa muda, just keep up the figh, Bob Marley would say.

On Thursday 13, High Court of Kenya termed the call for constitutional reform as unconstitutional and to recycle bin the report was casted. This judgement was dubbed one of a kind by pro—Ruto crusaders with BBI liutenants burying their face.

Though Ruto has taken credit for the astounding victory, it will be unfair to fail givin a special mention to ten people who read, fathomed and challenged the constitutionality of BBI and the approach it was taking. Five activists; David Ndii, Jerotich Seii, James Ngondi, Wanjiku Gikonyo and Ikal Angelei presented forth a case which was consolidated with other six law suits.

To defend the constitution and safeguard the sovereignty of Kenyan people, five judges;George Odunga, Jairus Ngaah, Teresia Matheka and Chacha Mwita found faults in manner of conduct and content emblemed in BBI and this prompted them to stop ‘Reggae’ unprematurely. As it is, it’s the master who takes credi for victory, not servants and in this, Ruto won against UhuRaila.
