How CIA, French Intelligence Agency Conspired to Assassinate Thomas Sankara

On April 6, 2022, Burkina Faso’s ex-President Blaise Compaorรฉ was tried, convicted and sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment for murder. It  took 35 years for justice to catch up with him for murdering his revolutionary socialist predecessor, Thomas Sankara (the “Che Guevara of Africa”), in a 1987 right-wing military coup.  How  long will justice take to catch up with the CIA and its French intelligence counterpart, the Direction gรฉnรฉrale de la sรฉcuritรฉ extรฉrieure (DGSE), for what appears to have been their part in masterminding or enabling the plot that overthrew and killed Sankara? As young military officers in Burkina Faso during the 1970s and 1980s, Thomas Sankara and Blaise Compaorรฉ were the best of friends. The two traveled the country playing in a musical band together and Sankara’s parents adopted Compaorรฉ as his parents had died when he was young. In 1983, Sankara and Compaorรฉ launched a coup against Burkina Faso’s military regime by Jean-Baptiste Ouรฉdraog...

What High Court's Ruling Means to Uhuru, Ruto And Raila Ahead of 2022 Succession Politics

Though William Shakespeare's writings have been justly inferred as the fairest, richest and purest, uninspired genius ever penned, the undebatable truth is; His literary works will always be rated slightly below the Holy book which God Himself took part in its writing.

Those apprised with Biblical texts sure knows that before the judgement day, there will be a battle between the dark and light forces (Armageddon). Majority of believers have staked their lives on the latter force.

The country's third general election is slated to happen in August 9 2022 and a presidential contestant who outfoxes his mates will take thr country's wheel between 2022 and 2027.

Before the aforesaid D-day, BBI is the current elephant in Kenya's political room. Building Bridges Initiative is a government backed plan to make fundamental changes to 2010 constitution.

As Armageddon means volume to Christians and agents of Satan so does BBI to pro and anti crusaders. Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga are the lead proponents with William Ruto standing on the opposite edge.

Unfortunately, High Court's ruling against BBI has dealt Raila, Uhuru and Ruto a bruising blow, the trio were designed to benefit differently should the amendment bill have turned practical. And how were they set to benefit?

Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga

These are the pioneers of BBI report which sought to resolve the country longtime political, social and economic maladies. To them, BBI was to give them a lifeline.

Agwambo had fired his 'last' bullet in 2017 presidential race and as law of scarcity goes, he who has no shot to fire should pave way for men whose quivers are full to brim and this Baba nearly did till handshake reignited his flames.

With Raila at the fore popularizing the report, Raila bounced back to 'life' and a new hypotheses started stemming up of the possibility of him firing his fifth presidential shot. His relationship with Mt Kenya region grew exponentially and Baba became the 'untouchable'.

As a mercenary, Raila has failed to deliver, so? chances are; the fate of Handshake is currently pegged on stilts. BBI win would have shown that UhuRaila ticket is unbeatable. As Murathe once put it, Mandela moment was undoubtedly in the offing. BBI which would have been a pre-match to 2022 has denied Jakom a chance to evaluate himself, read signs and measure waters.

Kenyatta II has of the three been dented badly, his zeal for breaking laws has been made bare. Though he was of good intentions of dispelling a winner-take-it-all governmental model by amending the constitution, he has doubled his failures and for this his legacy will have strips. Uhuru had swipped Jubilee government's Big Four Agendas with BBI and those are now improbable.

William Ruto

High Court's ruling has billed the man from Sugoi as the stone which the builders rejected which turned out to be a cornerstone. Ruto had faulted the report calling for inclusivity, understanding and extensive consultation, this would foresee a smooth sail of BBI but his critics were overconfident and hesitant to listen.

William won, and to his opponents he told them thus; mdharau biu hubiuka, don't under estimate me. The ruling has saved Samoei from a premature political strain but instead he is now casting his eyes on the main race. From UhuRaila he has learnt; the doyens can also get it wrong and this will verily give him a charge ahead of 2022.
